A free course development practice by students
The purpose of this course is to introduce students to models and steps involved in implementing Enterprise Learning Management System. Students will learn the foundations of Enterprise Learning Management System (LMS) and select appropriate methodology and tools, and then apply steps design and develop the delivery of online, face to face and blended courses in an academic setting and in the world of business. Students will also use systematic process to develop learning resources and suitable delivery mechanisms using LMS software. |
This course will explore the role of empiricism in computer science research, and will prepare students for advanced research by examining how to plan, conduct and prepare report on empirical investigations. The course will cover techniques applicable to each of the steps of a research project, including formulating research questions, theory building, data analysis (using both qualitative and quantitative methods), building evidence, assessing validity, and publishing. The course will cover the principal research methods used to study human interaction with computer technology: controlled experiment, case studies, surveys, archival analysis, action research and ethnographies. We will relate these methods to relevant meta-theories in the philosophy and sociology of science, and critically review published examples of work that used each of the principle methods in computer science. The course also includes guiding on how to review scholarly articles, critical review published works, developing conceptual understanding of researchable areas and proposal development.
Research Methods
This course deals with the nature research philosophies, research paradigms and purpose of educational research in educational technology and innovation, problem identification towards instructional design, reviewing relevant literature pertaining application of technology to education related problem, identify basic components of research writing schemes, develop research proposal related to educational technology aspect ,sampling and sampling techniques, methods of data collection tools, analysis and interpretation. It also discusses quantitative, qualitative and mixed approaches with special focus on Educational Technology and innovation context. The course emphasis is on writing an analysis and synthesis of research methodology and findings in empirical articles. The quantitative and qualitative data shall be analyzed using statistical tools such SPSS, STATA and MAXQDA which involve practical computer laboratory in separate session.
The course is intended to provide you with the necessary knowledge, competency and skills on:
The Master's thesis can be in the form of (A) research work (monograph thesis) or (B) as a development project, in which a product is expected in the form of education app, online tool, educational game, guideline etc. in addition to the thesis. Students are also encouraged to to prepared an article for publication in a peer-reviewed scholarly journal.

In this self-paced training programme of 8
courses, both location-based and online gig workers will be provided with
an orientation on the essential characteristics of digital labour platforms,
information on how to overcome key challenges, useful tools and insights
into experiences from colleagues. Course 2 – Understanding Fair Working
Conditions provides foundational knowledge on ILO decent work framework. You
will understand fair work principles and be able to use common online tools
that improve your ability to perform tasks and find decent work on gig
platforms. You can use this course as a self-reflection tool and learn from
the experiences of other gig workers.
Who is this course for?
This course is for anyone working in the
gig economy or interested to learn more about platform-based gig work. Whether
you are a location-based or online gig worker, this course is designed to equip
learners with a basic understanding of the challenges of gig work, ILO’s decent
work principles, working conditions, rights as a gig worker, and support
mechanisms available to navigate the gig economy.

on a gig platform, explore global frameworks that protect workers' rights, and

course as a self-reflection tool and learn from the experiences of other gig
workers.
